Entity stacking SEO for beginners - Google Search optimization
Learn the basics of Entity SEO - Search Engine Optimization using Wikipedia entities
What is entity stacking SEO?
Entity stacking in SEO is building links and creating profiles on social media, and posting about your brand. The most popular social media platforms like Facebook, LinkedIn and X are important, as well as high authority profiles and websites on the internet.
Why is entity stacking SEO important?
This enables Google to recognize you as a trusted brand, understand who you are and what you do, and in turn this makes it easier for you to rank. Especially for local keywords.
I made this list for beginners, so you can start right now doing the basic entity stacking for your brand.
7 steps of entity stacking SEO
1. Create a master spreadsheet with all the essential info about your company. You need to post your business information everywhere, and you need to use the exact same data everywhere.
How you company name is spelled, how your adress is formatted, how you format your phone number. All these small details matter. The more strict you can be in writing it exactly the same way, the easier for Google it is to understand, that its the same business.
2. Create social media profiles. Reuse the above company info in all the social media, and write a description for your business. For social media, it doesnt need to be unique for all social media, but it does need to be written in a detailed manner, including the most important products and services you offer.
Here is the minimum list of social media you need to create:
Facebook business page
LinkedIn company page
X
Tiktok
Youtube
Instagram
Threads
Pinterest
Bluesky
Create the social media profiles as branded profiles, so you secure your own brandname on these domains before someone else does.
3. Start posting daily on the above. If you dont have the ability to make videos on Youtube, create community posts. The important thing is, Google needs to see that the profiles are active.
Use someposter.ai for this (when I launch it)
4. Get citations. I use gigs from Fiverr or Legiit for this. Where you buy them doesnt matter, but it does matter that you get them. The point is, you need to get your brand mentioned on niche specific directories and citations. This will increase the entity footprint on the internet, which increase your chance of getting shown in Google, and getting cited in LLMS.
5. Secure your brand name on the major Web2 platforms. This step is vital, and many miss this. You can get free websites on platforms like WordPress and Wix, and although it might not move the needle in ters of higher rankings, it does send a signal to Google, that you are an actual brand, and your presence is growing.
Create these web2 sites as actual mini sites, presenting your brand. Use actual photos, your company details, and link back to your website and social media on all of them.
Here is the minimum list of Web2 I recommend:
- Wordpress
- Wix
- Webflow
- site123
- dev to
- hashnode
- Ghost
- Livejournal
- Blogger
You can find more of these by asking google/chatgpt for similar web2 platforms...
6 Create a Google Business profile. This is absolutely vital. Enter your details, description, services, photos, and as many details as you can.
The reason you dont start with this is, you want to do the above first, as this will increase likelyhood of getting the GBP profile approved by Google, and you also need the links to social media to insert into the GBP.
7. Press release. I use several different services for this, for example AB Newswire, EIN and so on. Publish a press release about your brand. The press release does have to be newsworthy, so find an angle to describe your brand in a way that will make the publications accept the story.
The benefit of doing this is, you get a lot of referring domains, but more important, you get your brand mentioned on a lot of high authority domains. Brand mentions is one of the most important factors now for Google and LLMs, so dont skip this..
Thats is for now, I hope you enjoyed the list...
